I am announcing this today in connection with my interview with "The Vinyl Professor" of INDI 101 radio station in Hamilton, Ontario (
http://indifm.ca/), which I will be doing this afternoon. The interview can be heard on the "Oldies Without Borders" program, which features music and interviews from all genres 1940's-1980's and beyond, Saturdays from 3-6pm on 101.5 FM in Hamilton.
I have decided to put together 4 CDs of music previously unreleased in the US, along with demo tracks recorded in Germany between 1991 and 1992, as well as personal photos from this time period. The Collection is called "The European Collection", and will be available on a special COLLECTABLE flash drive for the price of $30.
CONTENTS ARE:
"ACTION PACT" ~ UNRELEASED in U.S
Originally issued on the Stillsane label, this 1989 European release exemplifies the standard Mas virtues: direct, no-BS songwriting and solid musicianship. Recorded in Springfield, Missouri, Action Pact features Carolyne in front of the fabled Midwestern bar band known as the Morells (when they weren't known as the Skeletons). "So Hard to Be True" was also included in the set for Carolyne Mas Live! An unexpected delight is the vocal on "Sleepwalk" (yes, the old Santo and Johnny song), which Carolyne once spun for me over the phone. "Cruel Little Angel" is pure classic Nashville. And "Dizzy from the I-IV-V" — well, you must hear that for yourself.

"CAROLYNE MAS LIVE!" ~ UNRELEASED in U.S.
Recorded in Münster, Germany at the Jovel Music Hall, this live set runs over an hour and a half; once again, it's Carolyne with a five-piece band, doing what she does best. As on Hold On and Mas Hysteria, she opens with "Hold On" and "Stay True". "Sittin' in the Dark", from her first LP, has grown to an eighteen-minute extended workout for the band — and a certified crowd-pleaser. There are new songs, too, plus a trip into the James Brown catalogue.

"REASON STREET" ~ UNRELEASED in U.S.
Back into the studio for this 1993 release, Carolyne is maybe a little quieter here and there, but no less willing to be heard, and her writing is as sharp as ever. The late-night mysteries of "Driving on the Radio" screech to a halt in the light of day in "King of the U-Turn". "Lovers from the Start" is a lovely Beatlesque ballad, which is not necessarily why John Lennon's "Cry Baby Cry" fits so well into this set. Four of these tracks appeared previously on Carolyne Mas Live! The title? Well, Carolyne says in the liner notes, "I believe in the triumph of hope over experience, faith over reason." Reason Street, therefore, first and foremost, is a road to somewhere.
