Written in about 5 minutes sometime in the spring of 1987 on the back of a Chinese food menu, for Charlton Pettus, who would later go on to produce "Reason Street." I still have the menu.

I tried giving this song to Robert Gordon at a party one night at "Augie's" in NYC (1987), but he told me that he was only doing his own songs now. Story of my life!
